HDM - HSI Document Management

Basic features of the solution

HDM (HSI Document Management) is a modular solution for document management, which enables processing of all physical forms of documents (electronic, paper etc.). Modularity of the system makes possible a scalable implementation of HDM by various types of customers, whereas already basic version delivers following functionality:
Web user interface.

• Managed access to folders and documents (definition of users, groups, roles and rights).
• Documents searching according to their attributes.
• Data locking disabling multiple parallel editing of a document.
• Versioning, history of documents, follow up of versions, return to any previous version.
• Personalisation (favourite folders, last visited folders, individual user set-up).
• Notification of changes (notice of content or attribute change of file by e-mail).
• Interface for system administration.

Extension modules enable additional functionality:

Integration with other enterprise information systems, e.g. ERP, GIS, facility or maintenance management system (relation document - object).
Full-text searching in documents MS Office.
Management of documents´ lifecycle.
Workflow (definition of operational steps) with relation at business processes.

Technical parameters

System uses Oracle or MS SQL Server database and has been developed on the technology .NET.
Documents can be stored in database (useful above all for storage - data and documents are saved in consistent state) or in file system.
Access to application enables viewer MS Internet Explorer (version 6 and higher).
